You've measured the tube twice. It's 23mm. Every other connector you can find online is only made for 22mm or 25mm.
Now you're choosing between a loose joint padded out with tape and a tight one you'll have to hammer on (potentially breaking). Neither is what you had in mind.
There's a simpler answer: order a connector made for your tube.
Made to your size, not the other way round
We make plastic tube connectors to the exact outside diameter of your round tube, or the exact width of your square tube. We build in a small tolerance so the tube pushes in for a snug fit. There's no welding, no threading and no packing tape.
- Round tube: 2-way corner joints in every size from 9.5mm to 76mm, including imperial sizes (3/8", 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1½")
- Square tube and box section: 2-way corner joints from 10mm to 76mm
- 3-way and 4-way joints: up to 40 - 50mm depending on the type. Need bigger? Ask us and we'll make it.
They're made in the UK from glass-fibre reinforced thermoplastic polyester, with a subtle frosted finish that looks tidy on visible frames.
Measure in 60 seconds
- Measure the outside. Use callipers across the outside of round tube, or across the flats of square tube.
- Ignore the label. "1 inch" tube is 25.4mm, and tube sold as "25mm" doesn't always measure 25mm. Trust your callipers/ruler.
- Order the size that matches your tube. We add the tolerance for you. The joint fits over the outside, so wall thickness doesn't change the size you need.
