- Receive Your Kit & Build: We ship your bespoke connectors and cut-to-size aluminium tubes. Just push the joints together following our dimensions - no welding required!
Step 1: The "Napkin Sketch"
Don't worry about providing perfect architectural drawings. We specialise in multi-tier structures, custom enclosures, and specialised geometries. Whether it is a rough outline on graph paper or a doodle of your custom workstation concept, just show us the vision - we will handle the precise dims and tube connector selection for you.
What to include in your sketch:
- The Basic Shape: Draw the general structure of your project (e.g., a simple box, a multi-tier shape, or a custom workstation).
- Target Dimensions: Label your desired overall Width (X), Height (Y), and Depth (Z).
- Tube Preference: Note whether you prefer round or square aluminium tubes.
- Intended Application: Briefly describe what the frame will be used for. This helps us understand the general scope of your project and flag applications that obviously require welded steel.
Once you have your sketch, simply snap a picture with your phone and email it to us. Our design team will take it from there.
Important Note on Structural Suitability: Joints and Connectors provides precision-calculated cut lengths and strong plastic connectors based on your requested frame dimensions. We do not calculate load-bearing capacities, guarantee structural integrity for specific weights, or provide engineering safety certifications. The customer is solely responsible for determining if a push-fit aluminium tube frame is safe and suitable for their specific intended use.
Step 2: The CAD Plan & Quotation
We take your initial sketch and translate it into a precise, manufacturing-ready drawing. Our design team calculates the exact cut lengths for your tubes and identifies the specific tube connectors required to hit your target dimensions perfectly.
What you receive for approval:
- CAD Drawing: A detailed drawing showing exactly how your frame will go together.
- Calculated Cut List: We do the maths to ensure the final assembled dimensions (accounting for the joint thickness) match your request perfectly.
