Workshop Dust Extraction & HVAC Duct Reducer Connectors

Tired of chaining together three flimsy plastic hardware-store adapters just to make your shop vac fit your table saw?

Whether you are rigging up a professional workshop dust extraction system, bridging the gap to a specific power tool port, routing a hydroponic ventilation setup, or wrestling with an awkward portable air conditioner exhaust, we have your solution.

If the size you require isn't listed in the dropdown, we can still manufacture it! Please contact us with the measurements you need to fit.

At Joints & Connectors, we manufacture single-piece, heavy-duty reducers designed specifically to maintain optimal airflow and static vacuum pressure. No more duct tape, no more heavy friction losses, and no more leaking sawdust.

Why Our Advanced Engineering Polymer Connectors Are Superior

Unlike standard, fragile plastic or cheap injected-mastic parts, our adapters are manufactured from Glass-Fiber Reinforced Glycol-Modified Polyethylene Terephthalate.

  • Industrial Impact Resistance: The embedded glass-fiber structural matrix ensures structural rigidity, meaning these parts can withstand being knocked, dropped, or dragged across a workshop floor without crushing or cracking.
  • Non-Slip Mechanical Grip: The precision-engineered, micro-textured tapered finish gives hose clamps, jubilee clips, and flexible ducting an incredibly secure, non-slip bite.
  • Premium Matte Finish: Features a sleek, professional matte dark grey/black finish that looks right at home next to premium trade tools and commercial installations.

How to Order the Right Size

To make ordering as easy as possible, both ends of our adapters are designed to slide inside your ducting and pipes

  • How to measure: Measure the inside diameter (ID) of your flexible ducting or pipe.

  • What to select: Choose that exact ID size from our dropdown menu. If your pipe/ducting measures 100mm on the inside diameter, select 100mm. We automatically apply a tiny tolerance behind the scenes so it fits inside snugly.

  • For Flexible Hoses & Ducting: Flexible ducting is designed to stretch over the exterior of this adapter and can be clamped down tightly with a standard jubilee clip if needed.

Popular Sizes & Applications Reference

We can manufacture almost any custom millimetre or inch configuration. Below are the standard, high-demand air and dust transitions we regularly produce for workshops, garages, and ventilation setups:

Application

Common Connector Transition Sizes Covered

Workshop Dust Extraction

63mm (2.5" tool ports like DeWalt/Makita) to 100mm (4" main extraction lines)

Shop-Vac & Power Tools

63mm (2.5" hose) to 32mm (1.25" handheld tool ports / sanders)

Industrial Air Bypass

90mm (3.5" machinery outlets) skipping straight to 63mm (2.5") or 50mm (2") lines

Portable Air Conditioning

130mm (5.1" AC exhaust hose) to 150mm (6" wall kits) or 100mm (4" standard vents)

Hydroponics & HVAC Ventilation

100mm (4"), 125mm (5"), 150mm (6"), and 200mm (8") fan-to-filter transitions

Domestic Tumble Dryers

90mm (Common European appliance outlets) to 100mm (Standard UK wall ducts)

Automotive Cold Air Intake

51mm (2"), 57mm (2.25"), 63mm (2.5"), 70mm (2.75"), 76mm (3") custom induction tracts

Technical Specifications & Safety Disclosures

Please review the following guidelines to ensure suitability for your specific workshop environment:

  • Pressure Limits: Designed strictly for low-pressure/high-volume airflow and vacuum applications. Do not use in high-pressure compressed air lines or pneumatic system manifolds.
  • Temperature Resistance: This specialised polymer safely handles continuous operational temperatures up to approx. 75°C. It is ideal for warm air extraction and portable AC exhausts, but must not be used for high-heat applications like gas boiler flues or direct heat-element venting.
  • Chemical Resistance: Excellent native resistance to workshop oils, lubricants, and airborne particulates. Avoid prolonged exposure to harsh structural solvents like acetone.

Delivery time is typically 2-3 days from order and then shipment.  We will supply sooner where possible.
